Data Residency FAQs

Hyperforce is the next-generation Salesforce infrastructure architecture, built for the public cloud. Hyperforce infrastructure is composed of code rather than hardware so that the Salesforce Platform and applications can be delivered quickly and reliably to locations worldwide, giving customers more choice and control over data residency. Salesforce products running on Hyperforce benefit from its integration of enhanced standards for compliance, security, agility and scalability and from Salesforce’s continued commitment to privacy. By providing a common foundation for deploying our application stacks, Hyperforce accelerates Salesforce’s ability to innovate across product clouds and deliver additional business value to customers.

Review the information in this article on Hyperforce Data Residency.

In general, customer data is stored in the country where their org is located, provided that the services the customer is using are available in that Hyperforce country. There may be scenarios where a product has multiple components that run in different countries or includes integrations to services not yet on Hyperforce.

There is no additional cost associated with residing on the Hyperforce infrastructure. However, Hyperforce EU OZ is a paid offering that combines industry-leading Salesforce products on Hyperforce with in-region customer and technical support to provide enhanced data residency and privacy commitments in the EU.
