Commerce Cloud Growth and Advanced Pricing FAQs

Commerce Cloud is the platform name for a range of products that help digital and IT leaders achieve success across every aspect of ecommerce. We have bundled our commerce products into Editions, which makes it simpler for customers to buy the most complete commerce solution, no matter where you are on your commerce journey. We take a percentage of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) based on commerce functionality needed. We also have add-on products that are available for purchase outside of our Editions. GMV is Gross Merchandise Value which is the total dollar value for merchandise sold. It is the total revenue through your website, minus tax and delivery. For Commerce Cloud Growth and Commerce Cloud Advanced Editions, we charge GMV for the revenue going through your commerce shop front only.

For orders processed through channels outside of your Commerce Cloud shop front but are leveraging Salesforce Order Management capabilities, there is a separate charge beyond the complementary limits provided with each Edition. For example, Commerce Cloud Advanced pricing is inclusive of all orders taken on your B2B or D2C Commerce shop front. For orders taken on other channels or integrated from any other third-party system, you will need to purchase Salesforce Order Management stand-alone.

Yes, of course. You are able to upgrade at any time as well as purchase additional products later on in your contract. We recommend engaging your account representative whenever you have questions around upgrades, add-ons or contract information.

For existing customers, your Account Executive will be able to best assist you with your renewal. In general, existing B2B Commerce or D2C Commerce only customers will be able to leverage Commerce Cloud Growth or Commerce Cloud Advanced. Existing customers with Order Management will need to renew on Commerce Cloud Advanced. Keep in touch to your Account Executive to understand the best option for your organisation.

In many cases, Salesforce products integrate directly with many outside applications and systems to help you to connect your data. For those that don’t have built-in integration, like on-premises data sources, you can purchase licences of MuleSoft, work with our integration partners or use apps on AppExchange.
