Getting to and leaving MCEC

I’m on my way to Salesforce World Tour Essentials Melbourne. I should arrive around 8:00 a.m. AEST so I can check in to the event and start my day. The event finishes at 5:30 p.m AEST.

The event is at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The address is 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006.

I’m travelling in a taxi or rideshare, or being dropped off.

The best location for access to World Tour Essentials is via the Pan Pacific (Convention Centre Place) drop off zone. It has the shortest travel time to the event.

I’m traveling on public transport.

There is a tram stop (MCEC stop) directly outside the venue, just steps from the front door. The closest train station is Southern Cross station, and you can either walk south to the MCEC or take the tram.

I’m driving myself and will need to park onsite.

For easiest access to the Campground, attendees should park in areas 8 or 9 of the MCEC Underground Car Park. This corresponds with doors 8 and 9 of the Exhibition Centre. Alternatively, Wilson Parking operates a secure underground car park at the Exhibition Centre that offers a range of flexible rates. You can book your space online ahead of time by clicking here.

I have arrived at the MCEC.

This is what I can expect for the rest of the day at World Tour Essentials Melbourne.

MCEC Accessibility Provisions

I can find more information about the Accessibility Provisions of MCEC on the FAQ page. The event centre is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair-friendly bathrooms. If I need support on accessing or finding the venue accessibility provisions, I can ask any staff.

I will first need to go through security.

When I arrive at the venue, I will need to go through the security process. If I have a large bag or luggage that I need to store, I will go to the coat check at the Customer Service Desk at the Convention Centre Place. Backpacks and personal bags are okay to have inside the event.

Next I will check in to the event.

I’ll go to the event registration check in desk, and there will be people with signs to guide me along the way. I will pull up my e-ticket from my email to help me check in faster and collect my badge. Helpdesk volunteers will be available if I need more help.

What are the food and drink options?

I can get food and drinks in the Campground. I can get morning coffee at 8:00 a.m., after registration opens, and lunch is from 12:45 p.m.–1:45 p.m. There are also cafes within the MCEC that serve coffee, pastries, snacks, and light meals.
This is subject to change.

How do I get extra help?

I can ask any Salesforce staff, event staff or MCEC employee if I have accessibility requests or need any help. I can find them at the registration help desk and I can visit them at any time.
