Getting to and leaving Sofitel on Collins

I’m on my way to Salesforce World Tour Essentials Melbourne.

The event runs over two days, 9 & 10 August. I will have select which day I want to attend when I registered.

On my selected day, I should arrive around 8:00 a.m. AEST so I can check in to the event and start my day. The event finishes at 3:30 p.m AEST.

The event is at Sofitel on Collins. The address is 25 Collins Street.

To leave, I will make my way to the level 2 external lifts and take the lift down to the ground floor, where there is easy access to transport and parking. Once inside the event, all event spaces are within the same level.

I’m traveling in a taxi or rideshare, or being dropped off.

The best drop-off and pick-up locations is 25 Collins Street Melbourne. There are step-free entrances available from the Collins Place entrance, with lift access. Lifts are also operational from the car park and various areas within Collins Place.

I’m traveling on public transport.

There are several public transport options, close to Sofitel Collins. The #8 tram stop on corner of Spring and Collins Street is just a minute walk away from the Sofitel. If arriving by train at Flinders Street station, allow a 6-10 minute walk to the event venue, and Parliament station is just a 5 minute talk or less. If you prefer to minimise any walk time, being dropped off by taxi or ride share is your best option.

I’m driving myself and will need to park onsite.

You may drive to Sofitel on Collins and utilise their valet parking for a fee, this is the only parking option. Full information on parking and valet rates can be found here.

I have arrived at Sofitel on Collins.

This is what I can expect for the rest of the day at World Tour Essentials Melbourne.

First, I will check in to the event.

I’ll go to the main registration area on level 1 of the Sofitel and make my way to the check-in help desk, which will have clear signs. I will pull up my e-ticket from my email to help me check in faster and collect my badge. Help desk volunteers will be available if I need more help.

What are the food and drink options?

I can get food and drinks in the Campground throughout the day. There will be lower-height tables available, so I can easily access and collect my food and drinks. There is also a food court in Collins Place, underneath the Sofitel on Collins venue, which is fully accessible by lift.
This is subject to change.

How do I get extra help?

I can ask any Salesforce staff, event staff or Sofitel Collins employees if I have accessibility requests or need any help. I can also visit the event Help Desk in the Campground.

We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne.
