Event Information

Salesforce World Tour Essentials Melbourne will take place across Wednesday and Thursday, 9-10 August, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. AEST on both days. We invite you to join us for one of the two days, based on the content that’s most relevant to you and your business.

The event is at Sofitel on Collins.

World Tour Essentials will take place in the event centre at Sofitel on Collins. From the ground floor, head up the escalators and you will land in the middle of the event. There will be signage throughout the venue to help you navigate World Tour Essentials.
We are building an unforgettable tailored experience for our Trailblazer community that will take place over two days. We'd like to ask you to please choose and attend the day that aligns best with your role and interests. Join us on 9 August to experience Sales, Service, Marketing and Commerce aligned content. Come along on 10 August if you're more interested in IT and Data aligned content. You can select your preference when you register.
The event is complimentary, excluding parking.
Registration includes access to the Keynote, breakout sessions, Campground and networking reception. Food and beverage will be provided and outlets are available to purchase from within Collins Place.
  • The Campground is located in Sofi’s Lounge within Sofitel on Collins. Breakouts, catering, Customer 360, sponsors and much more are all located here.
  • The Campground will be operational for the duration of the event.
The Keynote is in the Sydney/Brisbane rooms of the Grand Ballroom. You will see this space after you complete your on site registration.

Tickets and Registration

You will receive your e-Ticket via email or SMS the day before the event, if you opted in to receive our email communications. If you have opted out, you will receive your e-Ticket in your inbox the morning of the event, bright and early.

Having your e-Ticket showing on your mobile device upon arrival at the venue will allow for a speedy entry. If you do not have it available or did not receive it, you will still be able to check-in.
Please check your SPAM folder or pull up the link on your original confirmation email. On the day, visit the registration help desk if you are still unable to locate your e-Ticket and they will be happy to help.
Please email apacevents@salesforce.com if you would like to change or cancel your registration. Please note that registrations are non-transferrable.

Transportation

Any taxi or ride share options can drop you off directly in front of the Sofitel on Collins. You can walk directly inside the venue and up the escalators straight to the event.
Sofitel on Collins is in the Free Tram Zone, and there are two stops convenient to Sofitel on Collins: 101 Collins Street and Spring Street. The nearest PTV station is Parliament Station (3 minute walk) and Flinders Street Station (10-13 minute walk).
Sofitel Melbourne on Collins operates several parking options:
$65 Valet Parking, per night, per car for in-house guests
$45 Casual parking for up to 3 hours maximum
$70 Casual parking for 3 hours or more, within the day

Food and Beverage

  • Food and beverage will be available throughout the day, free of charge.
  • Should you have any special dietary needs, please include details when you register, or contact us with your requests.
There is a full food court and other shopping located in the levels below World Tour Essentials Melbourne in Collins Place.

Yes, we will be accomodating of special dietary restrictions. Please note any dietary needs when registering so we can accomodate. On the day, customers with dietaries will be communicated with the pick up location of these items. Otherwise, our general lunch menu caters to regular requirements.

Flights and Accomodation

Sofitel Melbourne on Collins is located central to the CBD and can host you during your stay. Please book directly with the hotel.
International and domestic flights will arrive and depart from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (MEL). Alternatively, Avalon Airport (AVV) near Geelong may be an option for domestic flights as well.
Depending on the time of day, travel time via taxi from Melbourne Airport is approximately 35 minutes, and approximately 60 minutes from Avalon Airport.

Sofitel on Collins Amenities

Male, female, and accessible toilets are located throughout the venue. Primary access will be inside the Campground.
Coats and bags can be stored in the Sofitel Cloak Room, Level 1 Promenade in between the Grand Ballroom and Victoria Suites.
A dedicated parenting room is not available, however a request can be accommodated. Please include details when you register, or contact us with your requests.

If you require assistance while at the venue, please visit hotel concierge or ask one of our friendly team members.
All spaces within Sofitel on Colins are equiped with first aid kits and all hotel managers will have first aid qualifications. The duty manager is to be contacted and will assess and action accordingly. In the event that you require first aid assistance, please alert any venue or event staff.
Yes – all details are included on the back of each customer's badge.
Water stations are located throughout the Campground.
Smoking is prohibited in Sofitel Melbourne on Collins. This includes all conference and event venues, accommodation rooms, public areas and rest rooms, food and beverage outlets, the driveway area and the Collins Place complex.

Please submit your request by Wednesday, 26 July, 2023. Requests are honoured to the maximum extent possible.
If requested, event staff will be made available to answer accessibility questions and provide support at the event. On the day, please visit our registration help desk if you have any questions or need assistance.
Sofitel on Collins offers valet parking for a fee, rates and information can be seen here.
Step free entrances are available from the Collins Place entrance with lift access. Lifts are also operational from the car park and various areas within Collins Place.

Once inside the event, all event spaces are within the same level.
Yes. Accessible toilets, ramps and spacious passenger lifts are available throughout the venue. Lowered or angled counters are located at key retail and customer service points.
Yes, guide dogs and other registered assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the venue.
Sofitel on Collins provides male and female bathrooms only. There are accessible toilets available.
Yes. Priority seating is available in our Keynote and breakout rooms. You can request this service and others when registering by indicating that you have accessibility requirements.

If you require reserved seating in the larger Keynotes, please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the Keynote begins.
Yes, you can request an auxiliary aid or AUSLAN sign interpreter when registering for World Tour Essentials by indicating that you have accessibility requirements. A representative will reach out to discuss your needs to make sure your experience on site is enjoyable.
If requested Abilityforce volunteers will be available throughout the Sofitel on Collins, and will be happy to help you navigate to your destination. Please state this when registering if you need assistance.
Yes, we will have a lower height table at registration. You can request this service and others when registering for World Tour Essentials by indicating that you have accessibility requirements.
Unfortunately, Sofitel does not have a specific location for charging ports for mobility devices. Please ask at the registration help desk on the day if you need assistance with charging your mobility device and we can arrange with the venue. If you believe you’ll need this on the day, please note this when registering.

Security and Code of Conduct

It’s our priority to ensure a safe environment for everyone attending Salesforce World Tour Essentials. As such, we’re implementing security measures for attendees, that include badge requirements to access areas of the event including Keynote and Breakout rooms, and the Campground.

A first aid officer will be in attendance during major events, along with first aid responders. Sofitel venue security personnel are also first aid trained.
