Announcing Tableau Einstein: Agent-Powered Analytics Delivering Data and Insights in the Flow of Work

Tableau Einstein, the new Tableau built on the Salesforce Platform and featuring Agentforce, is a reimagined analytics experience that accelerates the path from raw data to insights by infusing autonomous and assistive agents into every aspect of analytics to help everyone answer, engage, and act on insights directly from where they work in real time

Tableau Einstein uses AI and Agentforce to autonomously discover and surface insights then translate those insights into action through a built-in enterprise workflow solution

Insights and actions can be surfaced everywhere — including Agentforce, Pulse in Slack, Salesforce, or any other application where people work

Tableau Einstein combines the best of Salesforce and Tableau, enabling any company to build composable AI-infused analytics solutions, reuse different components, and publish them into internal or external marketplaces

Salesforce today announced Tableau Einstein, a reimagined, AI-powered, visual analytics platform that includes Agentforce. Tableau Einstein opens up the power of business intelligence (BI) and analytics to everyone that wants to make data-driven work scalable, efficient, and more valuable. It is designed to intelligently embed data and insights across the flow of work so it becomes second nature to use data to drive action. Because Tableau Einstein is built on the Salesforce Platform, any team can use analytical insights to make strategic decisions more quickly and effectively. Additionally, Salesforce’s continued commitment to trust and privacy provides the most secure foundation for Tableau yet, accelerating global compliance that aligns with regulatory standards across different geographic locations.

See how Tableau Einstein brings insights to everyone in an organization and helps them answer, engage, and implement in the flow of work.

With Tableau Einstein, data architects and analysts can build semantic models with agents integrated into the authoring flow, automatically applying recommended relationships between objects for context and augmenting definitions. A new dedicated marketplace will help developers create, reuse, and share apps and analytical assets more easily across the company and an extended Tableau Public. And, thanks to Agentforce, Tableau Einstein also benefits business users who previously had to wait for their data analyst colleagues to pull insights they needed to quickly access. For example, a service representative can get current, customizable dashboards directly in Service Cloud that show support cases that need escalation and to track personal goals — including team attrition. HR reps can similarly log in to their workforce management tool of choice and see those same team attrition metrics across all departments, enabled by Tableau Einstein APIs, to easily identify where upcoming headcount might be needed. As a result, everyone will be able to collaborate across multiple assets – data sources, models, visualizations, and dashboards — using a drag-and-drop workspace to help ensure visibility and trust across the company.

Contextual campaign dashboards within Marketing Cloud: Compare performance, metrics, and trends within a marketer’s natural workflow.

Why it matters: Eighty-one percent of IT leaders say data silos hinder digital transformation, and 94% of business leaders believe they should be getting more value from their data. Additionally, only 30% of employees across the average enterprise report they are currently using data to make decisions. Tableau Einstein can make using and taking action on data efficient by surfacing contextual data and insights in the flow of work — including Salesforce and third-party apps.

Explore with Tableau Agent: Click on any of the individual metrics on a homepage, embedded in an app, or Slack, and get more details or begin Q&A.

Go deeper: Tableau Einstein is designed to promote self-service and agility using the benefits of the shared Salesforce metadata framework. It includes:

  • Autonomous and assistive agents for modern analytics, enabling Tableau’s leading solutions — Tableau Agent (formerly Einstein Copilot for Tableau) and Pulse. Pulse uses AI to autonomously identify critical metrics and contextually surface them to people within the applications where they work, including Slack, email, and Salesforce clouds. Tableau Agent and Pulse enable users to ask questions of data in natural language with assistive capabilities, providing visual and descriptive answers that are translated into action within an application. Analytical agents can power embedded workflows that propel action with hundreds of pre-built API endpoints. When combined with Salesforce clouds, Tableau Einstein is equipped with out-of-the-box metrics, predictive AI, and agents that not only forecast future trends but also suggest actionable steps based on trusted data.
  • Tableau Semantics that enriches AI, agents, and analytics data with business context and meaning, improving discovery and comprehension of relevant data. This will provide a flexible and governed place for users to create and manage metrics, dimensions, relationships, and goals. The combination of traditional BI and AI creates consistency and reliability in insights, grounded in an understanding of the customer’s business. For instance, insights generated about a customer account for a service rep would be grounded in records from recent service calls, product purchases, and returns, improving Agentforce’s ability to generate nuanced, informed responses.
  • Real-time data that’s secure and ready to scale across every touchpoint and create connected and consistent experiences. Because of deep integration with Data Cloud metadata-driven automation and optimizations — including data preparation and data quality processes — it can be integrated into workflows on any channel and across any department. This allows marketing, sales, service, and other teams to access and reuse consistent, customizable, and trusted metrics to get a holistic and deeper understanding of customer lifecycles and satisfaction across every interaction, from digital ads to checkout lines.
  • Composable architecture and reusable assets across an open API-driven platform that allows teams to build analytical agents to use for any enterprise use case and extensible into other third-party applications. New marketplace capabilities will also make it so data models and analytic assets can be shared, discovered, and used internally in an organization or made available via an extended Tableau Public. This means that users aren’t working on data in silos and can therefore share and reuse assets made by their peers to speed up work.
Manage every asset with Workspaces: Models, visualizations, dashboards, and more can all be managed in one place using drag-and-drop.
