ICLR BLOGS
If last month’s announcement of a new Salesforce Research hub in Singapore was any indication, Salesforce is committed to investing in the long-term future of AI. One way we’re doing this is by investing in our future workforce through our PhD program, in which we develop and train top postgraduate students specializing in AI, deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and more.
Under the guidance of Chief Scientist Richard Socher and the Salesforce Research team, our students are having an impact far outside the classroom. Case in point: five recent Futureforce interns first authored research papers that were accepted by the International Conference on Learning Representations (ICLR). They will be flown out to New Orleans to present their work at the annual ICLR conference.
We caught up with some of our ICLR paper first authors to discuss their research on the team and reactions to having their papers selected for ICLR.
- Q&A with Salesforce Research Intern Akhilesh Gotmare on how “Optimization and Machine Learning” led him to ICLR
- Q&A with Salesforce Research Intern Hao Liu on “Competitive Experience Replay”
- Q&A with Salesforce Research Intern Jason Wu on Creating The Digital Assistant of Tomorrow
- Q&A with Victor Zhong on Multi-Evidence Question Answering
JOIN OUR TEAM
As part of our team you’ll learn unique skills, work with talented people and help us shape the future of AI. We’re located in Palo Alto and our recently announced new hub, Salesforce Research Asia in Singapore!
RESEARCH SCIENTIST | SALESFORCE RESEARCH
Discover new research problems, develop new models, design careful experiments and advance the future of AI. We believe that making substantive progress on hard applications can drive and sharpen the research questions we study, and, in turn, scientific breakthroughs can spawn entirely new applications.
RESEARCH ENGINEER | SALESFORCE RESEARCH
Be at the intersection of software engineering and cutting-edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Make an impact ranging from implementing research models to building rapid-prototype demos that show off applications of deep learning on production data.
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER, AI | SALESFORCE RESEARCH
Collaborate on and contribute to challenging research problems in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. Tackle real-world problems from Salesforce’s enterprise customers by harnessing the latest deep learning techniques. Our postdoctoral researchers have the opportunity to pursue independent research, give talks, attend conferences and build relationships with academic institutions as they influence research across the industry and develop solutions for large scale problems.
PhD INTERN | SALESFORCE RESEARCH
We’re looking for talent to shape the future of AI. Our PhD internship offers eligible PhD/MS candidates in a relevant research area an opportunity to work with a team of research scientists and engineers on projects that can lead to a submission to top-tier conferences. We look for candidates with strong backgrounds in deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision or reinforcement learning and who have published in top-tier conferences or journals. Internships available for Winter/Spring/Fall.
