Program Terms for Learning and Credential Programs

These Program Terms (“Program Terms”) for the Salesforce Credential Program and any other Salesforce learning, credential or certification program  (each individually “Program”) set forth the terms and conditions that govern your participation as an individual (“You” or “Your”)  in the Program. 

These Program Terms are incorporated by reference into the Program Agreement and form part of the Agreement between you and Salesforce. Salesforce may also update these Program Terms from time to time, as described in the Program Agreement. Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Program Terms have the meanings given in the Program Agreement. You may not, and you must not use the Program unless you have accepted the Program Agreement.

THE RIGHTS GRANTED UNDER THESE PROGRAM TERMS IN RESPECT OF CREDENTIALS SHALL NOT BE EFFECTIVE UNTIL YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PASSED A SALESFORCE CREDENTIAL EXAM.

Courses and Curricula. As a participant in the Program, where applicable, You will be granted access to Courses and Curricula. “Course”, for the purpose of this Program Agreement, means a collection of Learning Assets within the Program. “Learning Asset” means the building block of a Course, including but not limited to link, video, pdf, slides decks, one-pager, workbooks, dashboards, datasheets, or eLearning course. “Curriculum” means a collection of Courses.

Exams and Credentials.  As a participant in the Program, where applicable, You will be granted access to the  Credential exam (“Exam”) for purposes of testing Your knowledge of a specific Salesforce product or testing other skills and qualifying for the applicable Credential. As used in these Program Terms, “Credential” means any Salesforce certification or designation, including without limitation Superbadge, Masterbadge, or other similar designation that is obtained via the Program or other similar Salesforce Program. 

Proprietary and Confidential Information. You must only use this Program for your non-commercial personal, professional or educational purposes, including to learn skills, to complete a Course, to earn a Credential, to learn about Salesforce. You agree that any Learning Asset, Course,  Exam and all content related to  Learning  Assets, Courses and Exams is deemed Confidential Information, subject to the Confidentiality provisions included in section 4 of the Program Agreement.  

Credential Designation. Upon successful completion of the Exam, and subject to these Program Terms, Salesforce grants You a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the applicable Credential designation and associated logo (“Credential Designation”) for the sole purpose of indicating  that You meet the criteria for the applicable Credential Designation.  You may not use the Credential Designation in any way that: i) may be construed to establish an affiliation between Salesforce and any third parties other than You; or ii) negatively impacts Salesforce’s reputation or goodwill. Salesforce retains all rights, title and interests in the Credential Designation. Nothing herein shall be construed to grant any other rights to You. You acknowledge that Salesforce is the exclusive owner of all right, title and interest in the Credential Designation, that You shall take no action inconsistent with Salesforce’s ownership of the Credential Designation, and that Your use shall comply with Salesforce’s current Trademark and Copyright Usage Guidelines and Partner Branding Guidelines and any other guidelines that Salesforce may provide, all of which are incorporated by reference (“Guidelines”).  Salesforce may change the Credential Designation and Guidelines at any time and You agree to comply with any such changes or requests by Salesforce.

You acknowledge that Your Credential Designation will not be considered current unless You have successfully completed (i.e. received the minimum passing score) for both; (i) the applicable initial Exam and (ii) any subsequent Salesforce release-specific Exams or other maintenance courses required for Your original Credential Designation. You may be required to pay an additional recurring fee to register for release-specific Exams after the initial two Exams.

Credential Designation upon successful completion of the Exam is not in any way a warranty or guarantee of an individual's abilities with regards to the Salesforce service in general, and any representations made to the contrary by a certified individual are strictly prohibited.

Potential Public Disclosure of Your Credential Designation and Information Related Thereto.
Unless specified otherwise in these Program Terms or otherwise by Salesforce, You acknowledge and agree that if your account is set to public, your personal information, such as your first and last name and information regarding your Credential Designation and information about your Exams may be available publicly via your account. Salesforce may also share your personal information and Credential Designation publicly via Salesforce online search tools, such as that available here. If you do not want your information to be made available to the public via your account, you may change your account settings on your profile.


Potential Disclosure of Your Credential Designation and Information related thereto with your employer, and your purchaser of Salesforce Learning Credits.
If You are a Salesforce Partner employee or contractor (list of Partners available at the Partner Finder site https://findpartners.salesforce.com/), or Salesforce Customer employee or contractor, and your consent is required by applicable laws (including data protection laws and regulations), by accepting these Program Terms you acknowledge and agree that Salesforce may share your information (name, email, Partner name and country of location) as well as information related to or about your use of Learning Credits and your Credential Designation (i.e. Credential name, Credential type, Exam information and Credential expiration date, Learning Credit usage) with your employer,  or the company you have a contractual relationship with who has or is purchasing one or more Salesforce Learning Credits on your behalf, to enable such Salesforce Partner to ensure they can successfully support Salesforce customers with duly skilled employees, or to enable such Salesforce Partner, employer or the company purchasing Salesforce Learning Credits on an individual’s behalf to support that individuals career and skills progression, verify their Credential Designation, to view Salesforce Learning Credit purchase and usage information, and, where applicable, compensation calculation. If you do not wish to have your information shared in this way, you can opt-out via emailing privacy@salesforce.com. Third party service providers 
As explained in the Salesforce Privacy Statement, Salesforce may engage third party service providers to assist with the provision of these services. By accepting these Program Terms you acknowledge and agree that we may share your information (name, email, course information) with such third party service providers (ie. course instructors, exam proctors, Exam information) in order to provide you with the services. If you do not wish to have your information shared with a third party, you may opt out via email at privacy@salesforce.com

Third Party service providers include exam proctors. Proctors help reduce fraudulent behavior and security incidents.  You may be required to accept additional third party  policies and procedures including prior to taking Your Exam. The third party vendor’s proctoring practices may include collecting video and audio recordings of You and using artificial intelligence to identify actions which suggest you are cheating Recordings of You and Your screen taken during the Exam may be shared with Salesforce should your behavior suggest that you are potentially cheating (e.g. accessing other sources, blocking the camera, asking other people in the room) and Salesforce will then review the recordings. Although it is not Salesforce’s intention to process sensitive personal data when when we review recordings of You provided by a third party vendor, we may process sensitive personal data if items or objects captured reveal your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation. If possible, please remove such items or objects prior to commencing an Exam in order to help Salesforce comply with its privacy obligations. By participating in an Exam, you consent to audio and visual recording for exam purposes and as described in this section, Trailhead content, and in accordance with our Privacy Statement, and where applicable, the terms and privacy statement of the third party service provider.

Payments. Salesforce may make available the ability to purchase or otherwise obtain Program Courses, Curriculum, Exams, Learning Assets or other Program materials (collectively “Program Offerings”). If you wish to purchase a Program Offering, you may be asked to supply certain relevant information, such as contact, billing and payment information, which we will process in accordance with our Privacy Statement. You represent and warrant that you have the right to use any payment information that you provide to us, including any payment card or banking information. Verification of information may be required prior to the acknowledgment or completion of any payment transaction. You will pay all charges incurred by you or on your behalf in connection with the purchase of any Program Offering, at the prices in effect when such charges are incurred, including all shipping and handling charges. In addition, you are responsible for any taxes applicable to your payment transactions.

Salesforce reserves the right, including without prior notice, to discontinue making available, or to refuse to provide any user with access to, any Program Offerings; to impose conditions on the honoring of any coupon, discount or similar promotion; and to bar any user from making any payment transaction.  Any refunds will be subject to Salesforce’s applicable refund policies. While it is our practice to confirm orders by email, the receipt of an email order confirmation does not constitute our acceptance of an order or our confirmation of an offer to sell a product or service. 

Term and Termination. The term of this Agreement shall commence upon Your acceptance of these terms and conditions and shall continue until terminated as provided in these Program Terms or the Program Agreement. Unless specified otherwise in these Program Terms or the Program Agreement, Salesforce may terminate this Agreement with or without cause upon thirty (30) days written notice to You.  Salesforce may, in its sole discretion, terminate this Agreement at any time and revoke your Credential  Designation if Salesforce  determines that You: 1) assisted, or used assistance from others in completing the Exam; 2) circumvented, or attempted to circumvent Salesforce Program procedures or security mechanisms; or 3) breached these Program Terms or the Program Agreement. Upon termination, any rights granted to you under this Program Terms, including Your rights to use the Credential Designation, shall cease immediately.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy. Cancellation and rescheduling are subject to the policy presented at the time of Exam or at the registration for an Exam, or our Trailhead Academy Cancellation Policy.

Credential Program Agreement Code of Conduct. By participating in a Credential Program, you also agree to the terms of this Credential and Certification Program Agreement Code of Conduct ( accessible at https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/help?article=User-Agreement )
