Manual processes for onboarding kept employers from posting jobs quickly. Agentforce will autonomously troubleshoot issues and help employers get set up to be matched with job seekers fast.
About Indeed
Indeed is the #1 job site in the world.* They connect job seekers with meaningful work and employers with top talent, fast.
The Challenge for Indeed
Employers often need support with account onboarding, slowing down the hiring process.
Indeed is the leading jobs marketplace in the world, trusted by employers and job seekers alike. It hosts hundreds of millions of job-seeker profiles and helps more than 3.5 million employers connect with the right candidates.
But Indeed isn’t sitting idle at the top spot. They know how vital their role is, and they want to match even more people to jobs — faster. Speed is essential: just three months of unemployment can push many individuals below the poverty line. “A job can be the difference between being able to pay rent or not,” said Linda West, Vice President of Business Systems. “We take that very seriously.”
Reducing job search duration requires onboarding more new employers so they can post jobs faster, but with the same amount of scrutiny to maintain trust. Indeed helps ensure employers are legitimate by reviewing documents like business licenses and tax forms, which gives job seekers confidence that the postings are genuine. This thoroughness has another impact: roughly 22% of support requests from employers are related to the onboarding or account moderation process. Blurry uploaded forms or missing data delay job postings and require more time from Indeed teams to resolve.
These delays hinder employers from finding the talent they need quickly and limit opportunities for job seekers, especially those in urgent need. By automating administrative tasks and freeing up their teams to focus on what they do best — engaging with employers — Indeed can focus on their mission of helping people get jobs.
A job is deeply personal for people. It can be the difference between being able to pay rent or not. We take that very seriously on both sides, on the employer side and the job seeker side.

How Salesforce Helps Indeed
Agentforce will help employers resolve onboarding issues faster to speed up job postings.
Agentforce, the agentic layer on the Salesforce Platform, will provide trusted, 24/7 support for employers onboarding to the Indeed platform for the first time, as well as those already using it. Agentforce will be able to autonomously answer verification questions, resolve issues, and handle administrative tasks — drastically improving efficiency and productivity.
For example, if an employer receives an alert about an issue with their job posting, they can chat in natural language with Agentforce to understand why it was flagged, such as a too-short job description. Agentforce can not only identify the issue but also suggest ways to resolve it and even update the job posting in real time, allowing the employer to move forward without delays.
To resolve these common issues previously, employers interacted with a chatbot that had limited capabilities, often requiring intervention from an Indeed team member if an issue came up during the verification process. For example, when posting a job, an employer would use the chatbot to verify their account, and, once approved, the bot would send a link to complete the posting. However, if an issue such as missing information occurred, the employer would need to contact a representative to resolve the problem.
Because Agentforce can reason across Indeed’s comprehensive data, it’s more powerful than a traditional chatbot. With Indeed’s data unified in Data Cloud, Agentforce can incorporate all types of data from many different systems and formats — including unstructured data like articles with instructions for updating a job posting, and structured data, such as an employer’s job posting history or account status. Data Cloud now integrates Indeed’s 320 terabytes of data, including over 580 million job seeker profiles** and 24 million jobs, with zero-copy integration to other data lakes like Snowflake and AWS.
“Our data has been captive, unusable in our go-to-market strategies because it's been too cost prohibitive to move data around,” said Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer Anthony Moisant. “Data Cloud is a game-changer for us.”
Agentforce can go further thanks to MuleSoft, which securely connects Indeed’s third-party data sources, systems, and applications. MuleSoft acts as the integration layer between the Salesforce Platform and other third-party systems, such as Workday, ensuring all data flows seamlessly to and from Data Cloud. This real-time data exchange allows Agentforce to instantly access the most relevant information, making it even more effective at providing timely answers and reducing the administrative burden on Indeed’s team.
“We're looking at 100 different use cases for applying Agentforce to automate the things that can accelerate and remove from the day-to-day responsibilities of our folks, so they can have more impact,” said West.

How Indeed Did It
To implement Agentforce, Indeed engaged the Salesforce Professional Services team, which helped them train their employees on Agentforce and ensure faster resolution of support cases that arose during implementation. Next, they prioritized their first use cases for Agentforce: boosting the productivity of their sales and support functions. These capabilities support employer customers who need to hire quickly, while also helping Indeed toward the goal of reducing time to hire by 50%.
While Agentforce has built-in trust and security features, like zero data retention as part of the Einstein Trust Layer, Indeed also established their own design guidance, governance, and testing practices to manage any risks across their data. Agentforce works from unified Customer 360 data across 3.3 million employers, but strict guardrails limit its access to data beyond what’s relevant to the agent’s role as part of Indeed’s sales and marketing objectives.
Next, Indeed helped drive adoption of these new tools through clear communication of the benefits and by deploying AI enablement programs to help employees integrate AI in their daily workflows. Working alongside AI at Indeed allows employees to focus on more meaningful, strategic work, boosting engagement, productivity, and building new skills for the future. “As we enhance support for our employers, we're also creating a better experience for our internal teams,” said Linda West, Vice President of Business Automation. “Indeed employees can focus more on what matters most—building strong connections with our customers.”
A final piece of the foundation: Decide what success looks like. For Indeed, it was not only productivity or net-new revenue opportunities, but employee satisfaction with fewer administrative tasks.
The Salesforce Difference
To speed up hiring while maintaining trust, Indeed needed a solution that unified data and automated key tasks.
What makes Agentforce a compelling solution to Indeed isn't just AI, but the deeply unified Salesforce platform. “One of the most astonishing things with Agentforce is the platform,” said Moisant. “It allows us to build and reuse and re-leverage over and over and over again, for so many different use cases,” he said, in workflows across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Slack, and more.
With the platform’s built-in Data Cloud, Indeed harmonizes their extensive data — unlocking more than 320 terabytes that they can now take action on across apps and with Agentforce. MuleSoft ensures smooth integration with external systems, empowering teams with instant access to all their critical information in a unified view. With unified data, Indeed can deploy Agentforce in game-changing ways, like faster employer onboarding and 24/7 employer support with a digital workforce.
“We chose Salesforce because of the power of the platform. That platform is expansive. That platform is trusted. That platform allows us to innovate very quickly across all of our customer bases,” said Moisant. “We have seen that Data Cloud can allow us to do that much more efficiently, much faster, get real-time connectivity to our job seekers and our employers at incredible scale.”
Ultimately, Salesforce will help Indeed on its way toward the goal of reducing the time it takes for job seekers to get hired by 50%. “There’s a world of opportunities and talent that need to find each other,” said West.
