I am honoured to share that Salesforce Switzerland is one of the Best Workplaces in Switzerland according to Great Place to Work. This is our first year on this prestigious list and we couldn’t be more proud to be named as one of the best workplaces on this list.
We are committed to creating an excellent workplace experience for all and recognition like this is great feedback that we are on the right track — especially in a year like this! The past year has been challenging in so many ways and has completely transformed our work and our private lives.
Guided by our values and our strong culture, we were able to weather the turbulence and reimagine our workplace culture in a digital-first, Success-from-Anywhere world. However, this would not have been possible without our most valuable asset – our people! Here are some of the ways we’ve created a great workplace experience over this past year.
Finding Connection
When COVID-19 started to develop into a global pandemic, speed was key. Seeing cases rise around us, we pushed for the closing of our offices to prioritise the health and safety of our employees. Almost overnight, we started working from home and switched all Salesforce Switzerland events to virtual ones.
After we closed our offices it was important for us to stay connected in this digital-first environment. We quickly organised weekly All Hands calls with our leadership team to share company updates and relevant information.
Our employees stepped up as well — organising informal coffee meetings and virtual get-togethers for people to simply talk, listen and support each other.
Supporting Our Communities
Giving back is in our DNA. We express this in our 1-1-1 model where we contribute 1% of our equity, employee time, and product back into the communities where we live and work. All Salesforce employees are given seven days of paid time off to volunteer for projects close to their heart — we often do this together with our teams. This year, it was different.
With health and safety top of mind, we weren’t able to organise in-person events like we used to. At the same time, giving back and supporting our communities seemed more important than ever. So, we organised virtual volunteering events and encouraged people to reach out directly to their communities by helping their neighbours and supporting each other on a local level.
In total, our employees in Salesforce Switzerland donated more than 6,000 hours of volunteer and pro bono work last fiscal year to support our communities.
Building the Future of Work Together
This past year has fundamentally changed the way we work and connect with each other and our customers. It was a challenge and at the same time a great opportunity to reimagine the future of work.
Together, we can create an even better workplace for all. A workplace that allows us to balance our work and home life more flexibly, where we find even more touchpoints to connect with each other and our customers, and where we can advance equality for all.
At Salesforce Switzerland, we are committed to creating a world-class workplace that centres around our people. We want to enable everyone to be successful from anywhere — whether they are working from the office, their homes, or on the road while travelling. We know the future of work is flexible.
