Salesforce India has been recognised in the 15th edition of the Zinnov Awards, the longest-running GCC awards. Salesforce was awarded the Best in Class Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the ESG Category.
Why it matters: The award seeks to honor those India centers that are leading the way in driving innovation and research in specific technologies/processes while facilitating collaboration across various business units.
The award recognizes the impact of Salesforce’s initiatives in lake restoration, urban biodiversity restoration, and enabling rural solar installations. Salesforce has restored a 17-acre local lake in Hyderabad and supported its surrounding ecosystem by planting native saplings. The “Miyawaki Dense Urban Forest”, created by the company, covers 3.5 acres of land in the Kalwa area of Thane district.
Salesforce has also electrified 500 households, a school, and a public health center in Telangana through solar power, generating 260000 KWh of clean energy annually with 226 tonnes of annual CO2 reduction.
Similarly, our efforts to create a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, valued, and empowered to succeed have helped create a more equitable workplace. Whether it is our annual gender equality summit or the Salesforce India Return to Work Program for women who have taken a career break or the Rise program for Women in Tech & Product, these initiatives aim to elevate and inspire the next generation of women leaders and male allies.
The Salesforce perspective: “At Salesforce, we believe that focusing on ESG excellence guides us to be an ethical, resilient company poised to deliver value to our stakeholders now and in the future. Our commitment to equality ignites our culture and energises us to deliver for customers, partners, and our communities, to move closer to equality for all,” said Sanket Atal, Managing Director – Technology & Operations, Salesforce India. “Our ESG goals align with our long-term profitable growth strategy and operational priorities. This recognition from Zinnov is a shot in the arm for us to continue our efforts to make our workplace and this world a better place for everyone.”
