Munich, Germany - Office Accessibility

Accessibility is fundamental to Salesforce culture. We make our spaces as inclusive as possible, but also know that some of our offices still have some restrictions and limitations.

We want to make sure that visitors, guests and employees are aware of any constraints in our office spaces, as well as highlight some of the accessible provisions that can be expected when visiting us. That way, everyone is empowered to plan their visit and make their time with us easy and enjoyable.

Getting to and from the office

You can travel to the office by Munich Transport Network (MVV) train. From the airport, it takes about 45 minutes, and a train departs every few minutes.

The public transportations in Munich are accessible. If not, you can get help from the public transportations employees. The Mobility Service at Munich Airport helps you on your journey and is free of charge.
Note: The Mobility Service cannot be booked directly. Please inform your travel provider or airline when booking your trip, but no later than 48 hours before departure and indicate your required level of assistance. This will enable them to provide the service to meet your needs. For more information please visit mobility-service.org.

There are yellow markings on the platform. If you wait here for the S-Bahn, the MVV employee will lay out a ramp for you to get into the S-Bahn.

The easiest way is to take the S8 with direction “Herrsching” or the S1 with direction “München Ost” so you don’t have to change the train. Your final destination is “Hackerbrücke” You need a MVV Ticket/Airport Ticket with four zones to come to the office.

NOTE: In Germany, you need a special token in your disabled person's pass to use the public transportation free. Visit the MMV without Barriers website for more details.

The station “Hackerbrücke” is the most convenient regarding accessibility; it is 700 meters away, it takes nine minutes to get there.

The nearest station is “Donnersberger Brücke” and is 550 meters away, it takes about seven minutes to get there. This stop is also accessible, however, the way out of the station is longer and more complicated.

The Kontorhaus main entrance is at the ground level and features automated doors.

For access, please swipe your building badge at the card reader or select Salesforce via the arrow buttons at the intercom and ring for the door to be opened.

If you do not have a building badge, please ring the bell outside the main entrance. A member of our team will assist you.

The Munich office does not feature push-to-open doors.

You need to pass a revolving door to enter the office floor.
Note: The revolving doors are not wide enough to fit a wheelchair.

For access to the accessible doors available on all office floors, please let your host know in advance. All regular doors (ground floor meeting area, social floor, SIC) have reception desks located right next to them. A member of our team will open the door for you.

In the office

All elevators in the building reach all office floors.

One accessible restroom is located on the 10th floor in the social lounge (on the left when entering the social lounge). This bathroom is a single stall.

The washbasin and the mirror are not adjustable in height. The washbasin is lowered for better access and the mirror’s angle can be adjusted.

Two parent's rooms are located in this building. One is located on the 5th floor, and one is located on the 7th floor. They are found on the east side of the building.

On the 9th floor, a similar room doubles as a first-aid room.

Three mindfulness zones are available in this building. They are located on the 5th, 7th and 9th floors. They are found on the east side of the building.

No barista bars are available in the Munich office

On every floor is a small kitchen where the snacks and refreshments can be found. The kitchen also has a refrigerator where you can store your own food.

The closest restaurant, “La Forchetta,” is 300 meters away.

At the station “Donnersberger Brücke” are several food trucks every noon

Service dogs are permitted on the 9th floor only, but must be registered in advance prior to arrival to ensure vaccination records are up to date. Employees must submit a Service Animal Badge Request to Employee Success before bringing your animal into the building.

Vendors and customers with a service animal are allowed in and do not need to go through the formal process.

Customers and guests can work with their host to request disability-related accommodations prior to their visit. Employees can submit a workplace accommodations ticket prior to their visit to put accommodations in place.

Requests should be submitted at least five (5) days in advance to ensure our teams have ample time to put accommodations in place. We will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests but cannot guarantee a quick turnaround.

Customers and guests should work with their Salesforce host to put adjustments in place prior to their arrival.

Employees and candidates may request an adjustment by submitting a ticket with Employee Success (VPN required).

In case of a building evacuation, the evacuation zone for people with disabilities is the area right in front of the building’s elevators. The fire department will take care of evacuating anyone who cannot leave the building on their own. The emergency response team will report to the fire department accordingly.
