“The Economy is Ripping,” Says Salesforce Co-CEO Marc Benioff in a Video Interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer

As Dreamforce 2018 opened in San Francisco today, Salesforce Chairman and Co-CEO Marc Benioff sat down for a video interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer, conducted on the Dreamforce show floor. The two discussed topics ranging from Salesforce’s latest partnerships to the health of the U.S. economy.

Benioff and Cramer talked about Salesforce’s recently announced partnership with Apple, including enabling innovative voice-centric applications that leverage Apple’s Siri. Benioff emphasized that Salesforce’s partnership with Apple is focused on much more than basic voice recognition, including connecting Salesforce’s artificial intelligence tools to Siri.

“We had to build something amazing first,” he said. “This isn’t voice recognition that we did. We built something called Salesforce Einstein, the number one artificial intelligence platform in enterprise applications. We are connecting Einstein to Siri, or Einstein to any other voice platform.” He said connecting Einstein to voice apps means that users can talk to their devices and get highly personalized, artificial intelligence-driven responses back.

Cramer also asked Benioff about the economy. “The economy is ripping, it is still ripping,” Benioff said. “We know, we are listening to customers.” Benioff added that CEOs that he speaks with say that corporate tax breaks are greatly benefiting their companies.
