Salesforce’s Marc Benioff Discusses Vaccine Cloud with Hari Sreenivasan on PBS’ Amanpour & Co
On Monday, Salesforce Chair and CEO Marc Benioff appeared on the PBS news show Amanpour & Co., with journalist Hari Sreenivasan in a wide-ranging interview that covered how Salesforce’s Vaccine Cloud is helping government and healthcare organizations worldwide with their vaccination efforts. The interview also covered lessons learned from the pandemic, the future of work, and how Salesforce is helping customers achieve success from anywhere.
“[Vaccine Cloud] is an incredibly useful technology that we’re deploying to states, nation states, and cities, that helps with everything from scheduling your appointment to keeping track of when you had it, any reactions you’re having, and then it does all of the reporting that needs to happen,” Benioff said.
On the topic of how work and office routines will play out in the future, Benioff said: “I’m bringing small groups of our executives and employees together. We are restarting how we collaborate in person. What I anticipate is that if we start with a beginner’s mind, we’re going to be able to create our company in an entirely new way. And I hope that we will take everything we learned from the past and then apply it to what can be, not what was.”
A few other notable quotes from Benioff include:
“The vaccine is a miracle of science…and now we need to make that last mile connection.”
“I have a lot of faith in our ability to come back in a successful way for everybody.”
