B. Braun unlocks data to improve patient care, faster
According to the Consumer Connectivity Insights report, fewer than half of consumers think that healthcare providers are currently making effective use of the data available to deliver better care. B. Braun sought to address this need by providing solutions for personalized and connected care, like its customer community portal.
To deliver truly connected patient care, B. Braun needed to enable sharing of data between systems in a governed and secure way. The company used MuleSoft to build APIs that connect siloed data across disparate systems, including its health and life sciences (HLS) system, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Health Cloud, and SAP. These APIs are standardized and adhere to strict standards, enabling secure and governed access to systems without storing data.

B. Braun was able to integrate both Salesforce Health Cloud and Salesforce Sales Cloud with its backend data 1.5x faster with reusable assets. Sales representatives can now track and fulfill product ordering needs more efficiently so that providers can deliver the care that patients need, faster.

B. Braun plans to build upon its success with MuleSoft by continuing to expand its partner ecosystem and deliver new digital healthcare solutions, such as supporting at-home dialysis patients with the data they need to monitor their health on their devices.
