Editor’s Note: This article was updated at Dreamforce’s conclusion, to include information on the Agentforce Launch Zone.
At Dreamforce 2024, Salesforce customers brought Agentforce to life, building more than 10,000 autonomous agents to address specific business problems in their companies.
In a matter of minutes, customers simply described their use cases through a cutting-edge, AI-powered Slack app that interfaces with a Large Language Model (LLM), and saw their input transform into a functioning AI agent prototype and take home with them to continue experimenting.
“It was so easy,” said one customer. “It took three minutes to make it, and it started working right away.” Another customer said, “They had a builder where you could just conversationally create the agent, and it picked out the right actions, and was ready to deploy super quickly.”
Many highlighted the practical benefits, saying that Agentforce will reduce a lot of manual work, repetitive tasks. The transformative potential was clear to many, with one customer declaring, “It’s going to be a very life-changing experience foradmins and developers and for all the companies.”
The feedback from pilot customers like Disney, OpenTable, Saks and Wiley has also been overwhelmingly positive. Agents built on Atlas, the newest version of Agentforce’s core reasoning engine, have achieved state-of-the-art results, with one-third more accurate and two times more relevant results based on Fortune 500 customer benchmarks.
“There’s only one way customers are going to believe it’s this easy to build and activate autonomous agents that deliver real business value. You’re going to have to let them put their hands in the soil and get going on our platform,” said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce. “So we decided to bring thousands of employees to Dreamforce to work with thousands of customers to build their first agent, live and on-site in the Agentforce Launch Zone. This was the largest, most exciting creation of agents ever in the history of our industry.”
“It was like a sold out concert over several days, with Dreamforce attendees lining up until the last hour to get their first hands-on Agentforce experience,” said Vikram Mediratta, Salesforce Senior Director for AI who designed and hosted the Agentforce Launch Zone experience. “Customers were universally shocked by how fast and easy it was to build an agent and then immediately test their use cases. We plan to take the Launch Zone experience on the road so thousands more can directly experience the transformative power of Agentforce.”

Don’t DIY Your AI
With Agentforce, customers can deploy agents, quickly and easily augmenting their employees and scaling their workforce on demand— so that human employees can focus on what they do best.
Instead of burdening customers with the cost and complexities of building, training, and maintaining AI models, setting up hyperscale infrastructure, managing all the data, creating security models, embedding agents in the flow of work and more, Agentforce gives them the ability to build an ‘agent force’ with a platform they already use that brings together the apps, data and agents to deliver accurate, low-hallucination AI at low cost and and with fast time to value.
Salesforce is extending the Agentforce experience beyond Dreamforce, with over 20 “Agentforce World Tours” scheduled in cities across the globe before the end of the year. These events will offer customers unable to attend Dreamforce the opportunity to build their own Agentforce Agents. See the schedule of upcoming Agentforce World Tours here.

This week in San Francisco, at Dreamforce, the largest AI event in the world, Salesforce will empower attendees to build their first AI agents in minutes, live and on-site at the ‘Agentforce Launch Zone.’
At the Launch Zone, companies will experience firsthand how quickly and easily they can build autonomous agents using Agentforce. Attendees will receive one-to-one guidance from the Agentforce ‘advance force’ to develop their first Agent prototype, using a cutting-edge, AI-powered Slack app that interfaces with a Large Language Model (LLM), facilitating the creation of an autonomous agent.
The Agent will be deployed on Salesforce Experience Cloud, and customers will be able to continue testing and experimenting following Dreamforce. Over 1,200 customer signed up to the Agentforce Launch Zone.
Agentforce in action: Agentforce, Salesforce’s groundbreaking suite of customizable, autonomous agents and tools, makes it easy for customers to build their own ‘agent force’ — a revolutionary step forward in enterprise AI that will boost productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across service, sales, marketing, commerce, and more.
Agentforce is leading the Third Wave of AI, advancing beyond copilots to a new era of intelligent, low-hallucination agents that set a new standard for accuracy and relevance with unmatched trust and scalability.”

Agentforce Agents can analyze data, determine what needs to be done, and take action, all without human supervision. Additionally, these agents can effortlessly hand off to humans with full context, enhancing collaboration and customer interactions.
Why it’s important: A majority of executives feel urgency to incorporate AI into their organizations. However, when faced with the realities of “do it yourself” implementations — including hidden costs, data silos, training requirements, and the complexity of building custom AI models — they quickly find themselves falling behind. Now, with Agentforce, any organization can build, customize, and deploy their own agents quickly and easily, with low-code tools.
The Salesforce platform has guided Trailblazers through every major technological shift over the past 25 years — from cloud to mobile, social, and AI, to data, and now agents. While on-site at Dreamforce, Salesforce customers will again tap into this collective power, using Agentforce to quickly build their own autonomous AI agent prototypes.
Salesforce perspective: “Agentforce is leading the Third Wave of AI, advancing beyond copilots to a new era of intelligent, low-hallucination agents that set a new standard for accuracy and relevance with unmatched trust and scalability,” said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO, Salesforce. “It integrates CRM, AI, and Agents in one seamless, unified platform, avoiding costly in-house, DIY builds that slow customers down, boosting productivity and customer satisfaction to unprecedented levels. Our vision is bold: to help customers scale their workforces and augment their employees with one billion Agentforce agents by the end of 2025. This is what AI is meant to be — humans with agents working together to drive customer success.”
Customer perspective: “Piloting Agentforce has made a noticeable difference during one of our busiest periods — back-to-school season. It’s been exciting to go live with our first agent thanks to the no-code builder, and we’ve seen a more than 40% increase in case resolution, outperforming our old bot. Agentforce helps to manage routine responsibilities and free up our service teams for more complex cases.” – Kevin Quigley, Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement, Wiley
