Fortune Honors Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff on its World Greatest Leaders List

On the heels of naming Salesforce at the top of its Future 50 list of innovators, the #15 Most Admired Company and #1 on its 2018 100 Best Companies to Work For list, Fortune has named Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff as #21 on its World Greatest Leaders list.

“The corporate world hasn’t quite seen the likes of him before,” Fortune reports. “He pushes product with zany zeal: Parties, rock bands, animatronic mascots, and candy emblazoned with his company’s logo all are part of his repertoire. So are his causes: gender parity in compensation, progressive politics, mindful work environments, corporate philanthropy, and a sense of companywide family, or Ohana.”

In 2017, Fortune recognized Marc by ranking him #3 on its Businessperson of the Year list, taking note of his "creating a new model for selling software." Read more from Fortune on how Marc is leading Salesforce into its next act, and check out this week’s 60 Minutes segment featuring him and Chief People Officer Cindy Robbins discussing Salesforce’s efforts to level the gender pay gap.
