Now Available: Tableau Pulse Natively Embeds AI-Powered Insights into Salesforce, Helping Teams Make Data-Driven Decisions

Today, Salesforce launched Pulse for Salesforce, a purpose-built edition of Tableau Pulse  that brings out-of-the-box metrics and AI-powered insights directly into the flow of work in Salesforce CRM, starting with Sales Cloud. Built on Salesforce’s Einstein 1 Platform, Pulse for Salesforce is powered by generative AI and is a critical step toward the goal of bringing intelligence directly into the flow of work. Now, CRM users can access personalized, contextual metrics and insights from Tableau Pulse natively in Salesforce to support daily business decisions.

Previously, sales teams needed to actively search for insights or make ad hoc requests to analysts when seeking information to help them with their deals. Now, Pulse for Salesforce proactively brings insights, trends, and even a generative AI-powered Q&A experience directly to CRM users. Sales teams can access Pulse’s generative AI-powered summary of key trends from right within Sales Cloud. From there, they can dig deeper using Pulse’s simplified insights experience to readily understand how metrics like win rate and total sales are trending.

Access Pulse’s AI-generated insights right from the Salesforce Home page

One way that sales leaders can benefit from Pulse for Salesforce is to see how their team’s win rate is trending — right on their home page. If the data is trending down, leaders can easily filter to see which team members are struggling and need support. And sales reps can see how their conversion rate is trending for the quarter. Then, they can dig deeper and ask Pulse in natural language how this is broken down by industry to refocus their efforts in the right place.

Ultimately, Pulse for Salesforce helps with increased CRM productivity, improved customer relationships, and can assist in driving business value. And, because it leverages the Einstein Trust Layer, a secure AI architecture natively built into the Einstein 1 Platform, every customer can benefit from the speed and interactivity of generative AI with the confidence that their customer data stays safe and secure.

Why it matters: Eighty percent of business leaders say data is critical for decision-making at their organization, however, almost one-third (30%) are overwhelmed by the amount of data that’s available to them. Furthermore, 91% of business leaders are saying that their organizations would benefit from generative AI. Pulse for Salesforce offers a path for organizations to quickly implement a generative AI solution and begin realizing tangible business benefits.

Go deeper: Tableau Pulse, which launched earlier this year, automatically detects drivers, trends, contributors, and outliers for the metrics business users care about and, with generative AI, surfaces automated analytics in plain language — within their flow of work. For example, Pulse can proactively alert sales leaders to a dip in rep performance using natural language and simple visual explanations. Pulse can then help them identify trends over time, determine whether these metrics fall within or outside the anticipated range, proactively anticipate their questions, and continue to surface team insights on demand.

Pulse for Salesforce integrates the robust capabilities of Tableau Pulse directly into Salesforce applications.
