The attacks against Israelis on October 7 and the escalating war between Israel and Hamas have taken the lives of many innocent civilians, Israeli and Palestinian. The developments in the region are tragic and heartbreaking.
In the last few weeks, we have focused on the health and safety of our employees, their families and loved ones. We have been working to support our employees in the region and recently expanded our employee CAREforce Hardship Relief fund beyond direct family members (spouse, children) to extended family members (siblings, parents, grandparents) impacted by the war and we continue to review our benefits to ensure we are doing all we can to support our employees.
In times like this, we also lean more than ever on our core values, especially trust and equality. We unequivocally stand against racism and hate of any kind, including anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. We stand with and support all our employees.
In this spirit, we’ve now committed $4.7 million together with our employees to help respond to the growing humanitarian crisis in the region. Most recently, we have donated:
- $1 million to World Food Program USA in support of the United Nations World Food Programme’s efforts to provide meals to civilians and facilitate humanitarian logistics in Gaza.
- $400,000 to High Tech for Israel to help local nonprofits deliver immediate relief for displaced and vulnerable individuals in Israel
These donations are on top of the $3 million we already contributed to help with some of the many immediate needs, including $1 million to United Hatzalah, $1 million to Save the Children, and $1 million to The Association for Immediate Help for Holocaust Survivors to deliver basic aid, food, medical supplies and mental health support.
Additionally, we provide ongoing support to our core partners—American Red Cross, CARE, Save the Children, and World Central Kitchen so they can respond quickly in times of crisis. We’re grateful for the tangible impact they’re having in affected communities, including:
- Food for more than 1.5 million meals distributed to civilians in Gaza and Israel
- Medical supplies, medication and hygiene kits for hospitals, mobile clinics and families who have been displaced from their homes, as well as first aid training
- 33,000 liters and 45,000 bottles of potable water secured for distribution to collective shelters
We stand united in our shared grief and in our hopes for peace.

The terrorist attack by Hamas in Israel is horrifying and heartbreaking. So many innocent lives have been taken and tragically altered by these inhumane acts of violence against Israeli civilians and communities.
Our hearts are with the victims, their loved ones and communities, as well as our colleagues, families, and friends who live in or who have loved ones in the region.
We mourn the loss of innocent lives and the unfolding humanitarian crisis.
Our priority has been the health and safety of our employees, their families and loved ones. We have been working to support all our employees in Israel and provide whatever assistance they need.
To help with some of the many immediate needs in the unfolding humanitarian crisis, together with our employees, Salesforce is initially donating $1 million to United Hatzalah, $1 million to Save the Children and $1 million to The Association for Immediate Help for Holocaust Survivors to deliver basic aid, food, medical supplies and mental health support.
We are also working with our nonprofit partners on the ground to support the people impacted by the war.
We will continue to provide updates on our efforts here on our Newsroom.
