Integration, automation,
and the AI era,
what do all three of
these have in common?
Well, the answer
is MuleSoft.
Now, today, we
are going to learn
about how MuleSoft helps
us scale AI and agents.
My name is Desmond
Wong, and I
am excited to be joined by
MuleSoft's chief marketing
officer, Karuna Mukherjea.
I'm really excited
to have you here.
We also have one of our
incredible customers
straight from Driscoll's,
Sankar Chinnathambi,
chief information
officer at Driscoll's.

Now, Karuna, I want
to start with you.
I want to hear what you
are most excited about now
that you have spent some
time with the MuleSoft
Well, thank you, Desmond.
And, Sankar, thank
you for being here.
It's such an exciting
time for us, right?
Everything happening with
AI, everything happening
around agents, agent
orchestration, agent
MuleSoft is right
there, well-positioned.
It's like the core
foundational layer
to provide all these
AI capabilities, agent
We are at the front-end of
driving that innovation.
We understand businesses.
And that is what makes
it super exciting
I've been here
about two months,
and I couldn't be happier.
And then, Sankar,
let's talk a bit about
I mean, for
any of you that
are out there that aren't
familiar with Driscoll's,
you're going to find them
in your local supermarket.
I was telling my wife
about this interview.
She wanted me to let you
know how many berries we
go through in our family.
But, Sankar, tell us a bit
about Driscoll's, and why
What challenges were
you looking to solve?
Thank you being great
consumers for us,
I think it all
speaks about that.
Driscoll's is a
global berry company.
And we are
blessed in a way
that our mission statement
is delighting our consumer
with alignment
with our customers
I want to pick up the
two key words from that.
One is consumer delight,
and next one is alignment.
How I can make
an alignment is
to have a solutions that
can help our growers
and customers do the
transactions properly
so we can ship the
berries in a faster way
so that consumers,
like you and your kids,
So that's where we
selected MuleSoft.
Our thought process
is our strategy
is innovation
via integration.
So if there is an
innovation is available,
why can't we can integrate
that with our ecosystem?
That's where the
MuleSoft help
So we are also a very,
berry happy family,
Lots of berries
are consumed.
You know, I was reading
an interesting statistics,
and you've kind of
seen variations of it
in the last
couple of days.
A lot of customers, you
know, they have problems.
You know, I
think there's 80%
I think when they
ran the surveys that
said the reason they are
not being able to innovate
is because
everything is siloed.
Everything is
disintegrated,
So I would love to know,
like as you delight
your customers aligned
with your business goals,
like what is the role of
MuleSoft in that journey
So there are
plenty of roles.
I can talk about it, but I
want to key highlight one
of the roles that
MuleSoft really help us
in the journey is
our berry growers,
they used to call our
forecasters three times
a day over a phone call,
which is like 1,500
growers calling
three days a day.
So we introduced a mobile
app to our growers.
Now that app is integrated
to our back-end system,
So these forecasts
are coming
in real-time
to the growers,
That helped us to
streamline the process,
looking at what's
really happening.
As part of the
journey, we implemented
MuleSoft to connect around
30 different platforms.
Yeah, no, I love
hearing about that.
Now, one thing that
our customers really
love to hear about
is the data, right?
We've got data
cloud everywhere.
We're talking about
AI and agents.
And, Sankar, I know you
brought the receipts,
so let's talk about
some of the metrics
that Driscoll's
is looking at.
So what does success
look like for you?
I think, as I
mentioned before, it's
connecting all this
over 30 applications
And over 100 APIs
we have, the stats
is like we have around
72% of reuse our APIs.
So that's very important
because we architected
in an API-led
architecture, which helped
That helped to
reduce our cost.
So because we don't need
to create those APIs often
and often, so we
can reuse them,
so reduce our cost by 25%.
So that's one
of the thing.
And also, it helped us
to do a faster delivery.
We are able to deliver it
much faster with the API.
And again, I
think the numbers
So it's just great to
hear how much success
Now, let's talk
a bit about AI.
I mean, it is
everywhere, [INAUDIBLE].
There's nowhere you could
go without seeing it,
but I would love to
learn more about, what
Driscoll's thinking about?
What's the
future look like?
So AI is, again, it's a
buzzword in the industry.
But I would say
I want to call
upon a particular
session I had.
AI is not only
artificial intelligence.
It's an artificial
intellect.
It's very important to be
able to intellectually use
our AI in a
sophisticated manner.
It's not replacing
a human job.
It's replacing
an augmenting
We are also on
the AI journey.
But as I mentioned before,
innovation via integration
So we want to look at
our product and partners
and the partner ecosystem
is creating those agents.
We want to start
using that.
And I really glad that
Mark brought up about DIY,
I want to-- that's
one of our goal also,
If Salesforce
like a partners
or bringing those
agent for us,
definitely we want to
take that journey on.
Yeah, no, I think that's
just incredible to hear.
And, Karuna, a quick
question for you.
With AI, I think
I would love
to hear more about
where you think
MuleSoft plays
a role in that,
So I think there
are two key things I
want to highlight, right?
I think the world of
AI is a world of APIs.
And so with an API
Lite integration,
you are going to be
able to scale your AI
It's a great place for
you to kind of start
with like Agent Force,
as you saw yesterday,
You know, we
are delivering
a lot of pre-built agents,
but more importantly,
we're giving
you a foundation
to build your own
agents, right?
Whether they're sitting
within the Salesforce
And Mule is going to
be a very critical part
of that success as
you kind of roll out
So I think you're
on the right track.
