Houssam Saoudy is a Trailblazer

Houssam Saoudy began his professional career as a Java developer in his home country of Morocco, driven by the potential of the programming language he had mastered completing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2011. His journey took an unexpected turn in 2014 when an agency that had newly adopted Salesforce approached him with a job opportunity. Initially hesitant about working with unfamiliar technology, Houssam conducted research and was impressed with the ability of Salesforce to deliver business value, its widespread adoption in the U.S. and Europe, and its potential to revolutionize North Africa’s tech landscape. Houssam wanted to be a part of that transformative journey.

Accepting his new role, Houssam embraced the challenge and professional growth potential, immersing himself in Salesforce. Since learning resources were scattered across the internet at the time (Trailhead had not yet launched), he bridged the gap by leaning on the Trailblazer Community. The struggles faced by Houssam and his new colleagues inspired the creation of the Casablanca Developer Community Group. Houssam eventually assumed official leadership of the group, preceding its rapid growth. Members shared knowledge while deepening their understanding of the platform, and their support aided Houssam in earning his first Salesforce certification.

Houssam’s expertise grew through several Salesforce developer roles at different companies. Eager to share his story, Houssam set out to inspire a growing workforce and convincing more companies to invest in Morocco’s job economy. Within a year, he visited nine schools across Morocco, introducing students and educators to the potential of the Salesforce Platform, inspiring professors to incorporate it into their curricula, and laying a foundation for future professionals. Additionally, he founded North Africa Dreamin’, an annual community conference in Casablanca that allows Trailblazers in the region an opportunity to experience the spirit of Salesforce events like Dreamforce.

Today, as a Solutions Architect & Technical Lead at Capgemini, Houssam specializes in crafting scalable, multi-cloud solutions that align business goals with technical execution. His expertise includes system integrations, platform optimization, and custom development, helping businesses streamline operations and unlock new growth opportunities. Whether solving complex technical challenges or mentoring teams, Houssam approaches every project with innovation and precision.

Houssam is excited about Salesforce’s cutting-edge technologies, particularly Agentforce. He sees Agentforce as a transformative platform that enhances customer service efficiency and delivers personalized experiences by seamlessly integrating human insight with AI precision. Although not yet using Agentforce in his current role, he has built his expertise by earning his AI Specialist certification, leading demos on building AI agents, and facilitating group workshops focused on Agentforce. For Houssam, it’s more than just mastering a new tool — it’s about shaping the future of customer engagement and inspiring others in the community to embrace innovation.
