Volodymyr Radko is a Trailblazer

From Student to Lead Developer

In 2015, Volodymyr Radko was a student in Poland looking for job opportunities. With a background in Pascal and C#, he initially had a .NET developer position in mind. However, when a company asked if he’d be interested in working with Salesforce, he decided to take a leap of faith. After a 3-month trial period, he secured his first role as a Junior Salesforce Developer.

Since then, Volodymyr has worked on a variety of projects, both individually and as part of a team, where he’s also served as a team leader. His experience spans multiple Salesforce clouds, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud, and he’s well-versed in various technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Aura, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative programming, as well as other Salesforce configurations. Currently, Volodymyr brings his vast expertise to the role of Lead Salesforce Developer at Noltic, a Salesforce solutions consultancy based in Ukraine. Volodymyr continues to be passionate about the Salesforce Platform for its simplicity in managing back-end processes and its continuous innovation and feature releases.

The Key to Success: Never Stop Learning and Sharing

From his student days to his professional life, Volodymyr’s motto has always been, “Never stop learning.” He advises developers to read technical books and articles in order to learn from others’ experience and to keep up with core industry knowledge and trends. He also recommends following Salesforce content, such as the Salesforce Developers blog and product documentation, occasionally contributing his own articles to the mix, such as a recent blog post on LWC.

When he needs to skill up on new Salesforce offerings, Volodymyr turns to Trailhead, where he’s currently at the Ranger level and working to build his collection of badges and superbadges. He also dedicates time to becoming Salesforce-certified and he currently holds 14 certifications across development, architecture, and administrator areas. He’s found that passing exams to get certified is a great way to “structure, summarize, and fill gaps in your knowledge areas.”

Based in Ukraine, Volodymyr is deeply committed to the Trailblazer Community, despite the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict in the area. His passion for connecting with fellow Trailblazers drives him to navigate long, complex journeys to attend and speak at Salesforce events, showcasing his dedication and commitment. The community plays a pivotal role in his personal and professional growth through knowledge sharing, collaborative problem-solving, and exploring innovative use cases. In turn, Volodymyr actively gives back by writing insightful articles, sharing key learnings, and collaborating with other Trailblazers.

Exploring the Future with Salesforce: AI Innovation

Looking ahead, Volodymyr is excited about Agentforce and its suite of AI tools. He’s particularly interested in building an AI assistant that can guide customers in their own custom solution. Volodymyr is also using AI coding tools to quickly accomplish daily tasks, such as helping to convert concepts into draft solutions. This gives him more time to further explore ideas and build out solutions.

It’s great to see modern technology trends coming to Salesforce. It gives me confidence that I’m heading into the future, not into the past.
