Salesforce Warns Customers “Don’t DIY your AI” as Agentforce World Tour Arrives in London

Agentforce London

3,500 attend Salesforce’s Agentforce World Tour London

Attendees bring Agentforce to life, building more than 1,000 autonomous agents to address specific business problems in their companies

AI represents a clear productivity and growth solution to businesses across the UK and Ireland. This was evident as 3,500 customers and trailblazers joined us for Agentforce World Tour London — where we showcased Agentforce.

Agentforce represents a third wave of AI innovation, where Agents can act autonomously to provide instant, accurate, and helpful conversational AI experiences. In London this week our customers activated more than 1,000 agents to address specific business problems in their companies.

The advent of AI and agents represents the biggest technological shift of our generation and huge productivity and growth opportunity for UK businesses. I believe the UK can continue to play a leading role in the AI revolution with business, regulators and government working together.

The first AI Safety Summit, held at Bletchley Park in the UK in 2023, is a fantastic example of the leadership role that the UK can play. And the launch of the AI Action Plan to help unlock AI across our economy and public services, provides the opportunity to continue driving pro-innovation approaches and building our leadership position.

Don’t DIY Your AI

We believe Agentforce is what AI was meant to be. It is a solution to some of the most pressing challenges facing businesses today. It can help businesses shift from a scarcity mindset — where there are never enough hours in the day to complete essential tasks—to one of abundant time and resources.

With Agentforce, customers can deploy agents, quickly and easily, augmenting their employees and scaling their workforce on demand — so that human employees can focus on what they do best.

While businesses see the opportunity in AI, what to do next isn’t always so clear. Great AI needs great data, and building LLMs and hyperscale infrastructures is an expensive and potentially endless DIY project. Our customers don’t want to DIY their AI — and they don’t need to!

Instead of burdening customers with the costs and complexities of creating, training, and maintaining AI models, Agentforce gives them the ability to build an ‘agent force’ with a platform they already use.

Agentforce brings together the apps, data and agents to deliver accurate, low-hallucination AI at low cost. The ability to activate quickly and not DIY your AI is crucial to achieving the promise of AI: timesaving, revolutionising productivity.

“Our customers don’t want to DIY their AI – and they don’t need to! Instead of burdening customers with the costs and complexities of creating, training, and maintaining AI models, Agentforce gives them the ability to build an ‘agent force’ with a platform they already use.”

Humans and agents driving success together

We’ve seen the appetite UKI businesses have for a seamless, single AI platform through the work we’re doing with customers like Simply Health, Heathrow Airport and Tottenham Hotspur.

SimplyHealth is using Salesforce to power productivity across its business through AI-powered customer experiences, making its services more accessible and easier to use. SimplyHealth was the first company in the world to use generative AI to respond to a customer FAQ email, and is seeing 90% reduction time in email response with this AI-assisted service.

Heathrow, Europe’s busiest airport, is committed to providing extraordinary service to the over 80 million passengers who pass its terminals each year. Our AI-powered platform has improved operations, boosted customer satisfaction, and increased digital revenue by 30%.

At Agentforce World Tour London we were delighted to announce a new partnership with Tottenham Hotspur. The Salesforce Platform – with Data Cloud at its core – will enhance the experience for global fans across all digital touchpoints to deliver personalised engagement. Integrating all data across sales, marketing and service will set the foundation for AI to speed up decision-making and anticipate future fan needs.

Upskilling for the AI World

As AI radically changes how people work, so too will the skills needed to succeed in the AI world. While leaders urgently want to incorporate AI tools into business operations, more than two-thirds of workers have yet to use the technology at work. And only 15% of workers strongly agree that they have the education and training necessary to use AI effectively. For executives, the AI skills gap has become a bigger concern than inflation or the broader economy, according to Slack research.

AI can only be leveraged effectively when we invest in the people who are using the technology and equip people with the skills they need to take on jobs that our digitally transforming economy demands.

Since we launched our Salesforce UK AI Centre in June, more than 500 people have attended training, and we’ve welcomed some of our top UK customers to participate in AI and Data Cloud workshops. Work is continuously evolving, and the appetite to learn and succeed is there when all stakeholders work together to provide access to training and upskilling.
