Salesforce Ireland Country Leader, Carolan Lennon, spoke with Silicon Republic’s ’The Leaders’ Room’ interview series, sharing insights into her role at Salesforce, and the importance the company places on trust as it helps customers transform their business with AI.
Salesforce Perspective: Lennon shared:
- Salesforce’s approach to AI: “When we talk to companies, they’re saying, ‘I want to do this, I want to do that [with AI], but we’ve got this trapped data.’ That’s why we’re so excited about Data Cloud — because it gives you the opportunity to pull all that together. But also, with our Einstein Trust Layer, it’s protected. Your data is not Salesforce’s product — we’ve been thinking about trust from the start of this journey, and we’ve been doing it for quite some time.”
- With leadership comes great responsibility: “As my kids used to say, quoting Spiderman, ‘Are you going to use your power for good or evil today, Mom?’ As a leader, you can do more, and I think you have an obligation to focus on things like diversity and inclusion. I believe in staying true to your values no matter what. Good leaders are calm and consistent — because on tough days, to be able to look to your leader and see them behave the same gives people great confidence.”

Building a career at Salesforce Ireland: “We opened Salesforce Dublin Tower about a year ago and it’s absolutely fabulous. It’s been designed differently, with 70% more collaboration space. We’re seen as a keeper of culture because many of our people from all over EMEA start their careers in Dublin and really buy into the Salesforce values and vision. One of the reasons I was attracted to Salesforce was that I was aligned with their values, particularly trust — I trust people because I get the best out of people with that. When I joined, I realised the values are real, and I think that’s really important.”
